Just looking for a sanity check here. As a percentage of your top-cited pages, about how many are competitor articles, self promoting within a blog? Most of mine are competitor-owned blogs titled something along the lines of "Top [Number] [Product] for [Purpose] in 2026"? i.e "Top 10 AEO Softwares for Tracking Visibility in 2026"
I'm well familiar with the success of listicles in AEO but 15 of my top 20 citations are competitor-owned articles, self promoting their software. It makes me wonder if my prompts need work, or if the LLMs really allow for that much bias in their sourcing.
